Does the emulator support connecting to an email account?
I can view web pages on the emulator, so it does have internet connection - Via ActiveSync using VS2008 and Device Emulator Manager (Windows Mobile Standard 6 Emulator -> right click -> cradle)
I create an email account on the emulator (phillip.labar@yahoo.com).
I used the built in feature for it to find the settings.
"Try to get email settings automatically from the server"
It shows, Auto Setup found settings for yahoo.com
I fill in the rest of the information, login / pwd /
When it tries to conenct it shows, Connecting..., then Logging On... then
Cannot connect to the incoming email server...
The settings for the server are
Incoming - imap.mail.yahoo.com
Account Type IMAP4
Outgoing (SMTP) smtp.mobile.mail.yahoo.com
Outgoing server requires authentication Checked
Use the same name and password for sending e-mail Checked
Advanced - Require SSL for Incoming e-mail UNchecked
Require SSL for Outgoing e-mail UNchecked
Network connection - The Internet
Any suggestions ?
Thanks
